Customer Service Representative

Overview: A nonprofit transportation company is looking for a part-time Customer Service Representative to join their call center team to schedule transportation services for the elderly and disabled throughout Western Washington.

**This is NOT a remote position

JOB DUTIES:

May include but not limited to the following:

• Receive requests for transportation services and evaluate requests to accurately schedule transportation
• Verify and update passenger information including address, location, and past record of service
• Document trip requests
• Receive and document passenger complaints and suggestions to forward information to appropriate department or individual
• Billing tasks such as data entry of driver paperwork, preparing ridership reports, and reconciling Medicaid and/or transit passes for usage and distribution
• Performs other related tasks as requested

Job Requirements:

• Excellent attendance

• Understanding of Military Time

• Proficiency in keyboarding skills- Must be able to type approximately 40 WPM by touch with minimal errors

  • Data entry using 10-key and/or alphanumeric by touch

• Ability to key in data from an audio source

• Computer literate

• Ability to work in a fast-paced and high stress work environment with minimal supervision

• Comfortable wearing a headset

• Willingness to learn new skills and procedures

• Ability to work on case-by-case basis

• Problem solving skills

• Assertive and able say “No” to customer when request does not meet laws and regulations

• Attention to detail

• System oriented

• Ability to interact with mentally and physically challenged individuals

• Ability to handle stressful, challenging customers while maintaining customer service standards

• Willingness to sign confidentiality agreement

• Written and verbal communication skills

• High School Diploma/GED

• 1+ years of demonstrated customer service experience

• Excellent interpersonal skills

• Ability to use multi-line phone system

• Excellent organizational skills

Pay:

$19.50/hour

**Schedule: Full-Time - 8:00am-4:30pm, Monday-Friday
