    Description

    What We Need

    Corpay is currently looking to hire a Permit & Compliance Customer Service Representative within our Over the Road Compliance Division. This position falls under our NAT line of business and is located in Brentwood, TN. In this role, you will be responsible for processing various state, county, and city government permit requests from a specified customer base, taken via phone or online portal. You will report directly to the Customer Service Supervisor.

    As a Customer Service Representative, you will be expected to work in a hybrid environment. Corpay will set you up for success by providing:

    • Assigned workspace in Brentwood
    • Company-issued equipment
    • Formal, hands-on training

    Role Responsibilities

    The responsibilities of the role will include:

    • Processing and supporting customer orders and inquiries using efficient and effective routing methods while advising possible cost-saving opportunities
    • Processing Trip/Fuel or Oversize/Overweight permits by entering applications into the permit processing system upon request, providing necessary information required by state governments to obtain approval for temporary Trip/Fuel or Oversize/Overweight permits using information provided during inbound telephone conversations with customers
    • Handling direct phone inquiries, effectively correcting individual errors, and completing follow-through on all application orders processed daily, ensuring timely delivery based on customer expectations/industry standards
    • Resending previously issued permits and proactively calling customers to inform them of the status of their permit orders

    Qualifications & Skills

    • High School Diploma or equivalent is required
    • 1+ years call center experience
    • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written to properly communicate our service offerings and functionality
    • Superior customer service skills are required, with the ability to react quickly and decisively to resolve customer issues in a professional manner
    • Proficient phone and computer skills; Ability to answer and manage inbound calls, make outbound calls, and work with various departments and clients
    • Ability to handle multiple types of communication; both internal and external
    • Ability to use, navigate, and route trips using online mapping systems such as Bing Maps, Google maps, etc.
