Customer Service Representative

Unilock, North America's premier manufacturer of concrete paving stones and retaining walls for over 50 years is currently seeking an Customer Service Representative at our Chester, NY Yard.

This position calls for a bright, motivated Sales Representative who thrives in a fast-paced environment and possesses an urgency in customer service. You will have the opportunity to bring your energy to a high-performing team, working collaboratively with both our office and yard team members.

What you'll do

• Answering of telephones and satisfying customer requests with a friendly demeanor, and willingness to help at all times
• Support retail customers and contractors with their purchases, via design assistance (calculating square footage required), order entry and any future inquiries that arise
• Retrieve hand-selected product samples from designated sample area and loading into requesting customers vehicles
• Process check and credit card transactions and reconcile payments received
• Load and confirm orders for invoice processing and posting
• Perform random tractor-trailer checks to ensure load accuracy before delivery
• Participate in and assist with cycle counting throughout the year, as well as yearly full yard counts

What you need to succeed

• Exceptional customer service skills, with attention to detail and accuracy
• Must have sound problem solving skills to effectively handle customer objections and questions
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, and basic skills using an e-tablet
• Ability to manage competing priorities, work with strict deadlines, address projects, and work processes
• Ability to read & comprehend all shipping related documents, and perform basic math equations
• Ability to distinguish product colors, color blends, and product bundle configurations
• Requires standing, stooping, reaching, and lifting to 30 lbs.
• Collaborative individual with a strong, self-directed work ethic in a fast past environment
• Professional and courteous behavior with a cheerful outlook in ALL situations.
• Requires consistent and dependable attendance

• Pay: $22-$24 per hour (based on experience)
