Client Service Representative (CSR) – Cross-Trained Veterinary Assistant

Thrive Pet Healthcare – Wedgewood is looking for a friendly, dependable, and motivated Client Service Representative (CSR) to join our team. This role is unique because you’ll also be cross-trained as a Veterinary Assistant, giving you the opportunity to gain hands-on experience supporting both our clients and our medical team.

Located in Nashville’s Wedgewood-Houston area, Thrive Pet Healthcare – Wedgewood is a busy general practice focused on providing high-quality, compassionate care for pets throughout every stage of life.

Our services include preventative care, diagnostics, surgery, dentistry, treatment for illness and injury, grooming, and more.

What You’ll Do

As a CSR, you’ll help keep the hospital running smoothly by:

• Welcoming clients and patients

• Answering phones and managing client communication

• Scheduling and confirming appointments

• Checking clients in and out

• Processing payments

• Maintaining accurate medical records

• Communicating with our veterinary team

• Assisting with medication pickups and client questions

• Keeping the reception area clean and organized

• Managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

Veterinary Assistant Cross-Training

As your training progresses, you’ll also have opportunities to work alongside our veterinary team and assist with:

• Preparing exam and treatment areas

• Patient handling and restraint

• Supporting veterinarians and veterinary technicians during appointments

• Patient admissions and discharges

• Cleaning and preparing kennels and patient areas

• Stocking medical supplies

• Supporting general patient care within your level of training

What We’re Looking For

• Enjoys working in a fast-paced environment

• Works well as part of a team

• Is dependable and willing to help where needed

• Is comfortable working with dogs and cats of different sizes and temperaments

• Is excited to learn and grow within veterinary medicine

Previous veterinary experience is a plus, but it is not required. A strong customer-service background, positive attitude, and willingness to learn are just as important.

Schedule

Monday–Friday: 7:45 AM – 6:00 PM
Saturday: 8:45 AM – 2:00 PM

Compensation

$16–$19 per hour, based on experience, qualifications, skills, and other applicable factors.
