Dental Customer Service Representative

Contract Position | 7-Month Assignment | $20.00 per Hour

LHH is seeking a Dental Customer Service Representative for a contract opportunity supporting a healthcare services organization that assists dental providers and program members throughout California. This role is ideal for individuals with dental office experience who enjoy helping patients, resolving issues, and navigating insurance or public health program processes.

The position involves responding to inquiries from dental patients, provider offices, and representatives regarding program participation, treatment approvals, claims, referrals, and related services. Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities are essential for success.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a primary point of contact for patients, representatives, and dental providers regarding program benefits, policies, and services

  • Research and resolve complex inquiries received through inbound calls

  • Assist with questions related to treatment authorizations, claim status, provider participation, and program procedures

  • Document interactions accurately within internal tracking systems

  • Schedule and coordinate appointments and screenings as needed

  • Review and process program-related documentation while maintaining accuracy and compliance standards

  • Provide referrals to participating dental providers and appropriate community resources

  • Escalate issues when necessary and follow through to resolution

  • Support special projects and administrative assignments as requested

  • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive patient and provider information

Requirements

  • Dental office experience highly preferred

  • Previous experience handling patient or customer communications in a professional setting

  • Knowledge of dental terminology, procedures, and common treatment codes

  • Understanding of dental insurance, public healthcare programs, claims processing, or billing procedures is highly preferred

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Comfortable working with multiple systems and computer applications

  • Excellent problem-solving and organizational abilities

  • Ability to manage detailed work with a high level of accuracy

  • Capable of handling a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions

  • Strong customer service mindset and professional phone presence

  • Ability to work overtime when business needs require

Job Information

Compensation: $20.00 per hour
