Position Overview

The Customer Service Representative/Driver I is a dynamic, customer-facing role that keeps our outside sales team running smoothly and occasionally takes the show on the road. You'll handle inquiries, process orders, manage complaints, and assist with billing, credits, and quotes, all while building lasting customer relationships. When the moment calls for it, you'll drive directly to customer sites to deliver hands-on support and tailored product solutions in person. Primary Responsibilities

  • Process and manage customer orders, credits, billing, complaints, and UPC requests while maintaining accurate records of all interactions
  • Consult with customers on products and services, resolve inquiries and issues efficiently, and escalate unresolved concerns to the appropriate teams
  • Drive to customer sites and plan efficient daily routes to deliver hands-on support, product solutions, and occasional deliveries
  • Manage inventory by receiving, counting, and stocking items accurately using manual or digital tracking tools
  • Collaborate cross-functionally and represent Industrial Finishes professionally, reflecting the company's values in every customer and team interaction

Qualifications

Candidates should have 1-2 years of experience in a customer service support role, with a strong understanding of warehouse, supply chain, and distribution processes. A high school diploma or GED is required, with preference given to those with vocational training in Sales and Distribution or an Associate degree. The role requires excellent communication skills, with continuous speaking and hearing, as well as clear vision for daily computer tasks. Mental focus and attention to detail are essential for ensuring accuracy and effective problem-solving.

Candidates must have a clean driving record.
