Job Position: Customer Service Representative - Exemptions
Location: Kyle, TX 78640
Pay Rate: $18.00/hr
Shift: 8AM to 5PM
Description: We are partnering with a respected Hays County organization that provides personal and business property appraisal support services. They are seeking a friendly, professional, and detail-oriented Customer Service Representative to join their Exemptions Division.
This role serves as the front-line point of contact for property owners, taxpayers, and the general public, assisting with exemption applications, property information requests, filing deadlines, and general inquiries. The ideal candidate is patient, organized, service-focused, and committed to providing a welcoming experience for all.

Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary contact for walk-in visitors, phone calls, and email inquiries.
- Provide information regarding property records, exemption eligibility, and filing deadlines.
- Review exemption applications and supporting documentation to determine eligibility according to established procedures.
- Accurately enter and maintain property records, exemption data, and customer correspondence.
- Assist property owners in locating property information and resolving questions.
- Document customer interactions and maintain detailed records.
- Collaborate with appraisal staff and internal departments to ensure accurate and timely service.
- Handle challenging interactions with patience, empathy, and professionalism, escalating issues when appropriate.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of customer service experience required.
- Public-facing administrative experience preferred.
- Government, appraisal district, property tax, real estate, or related experience is a plus.
**Bilingual English/Spanish highly preferred**
- Strong communication, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, databases, and data entry systems.
- Ability to work collaboratively and learn complex processes quickly.
