Position: Customer Service Representative (CSR)

About the Opportunity

Professional Search Group is partnering with a leading organization to identify a Customer Service Representative who will play a key role in delivering exceptional customer experiences and supporting daily operations.

Job Summary

The Customer Service Representative (CSR) serves as the primary point of contact for internal and external customers. This role is responsible for resolving customer inquiries efficiently while maintaining a high level of professionalism and care. The CSR builds strong, long-term relationships by fostering trust, clear communication, and responsiveness.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Deliver exceptional customer service across all interactions
  • Provide product pricing, availability, and lead times within established guidelines
  • Manage a portfolio of domestic and/or international customer accounts
  • Accurately enter a high volume of purchase orders into the ERP system
  • Process order changes, cancellations, credits, and return authorizations
  • Review and interpret customer documentation, including terms, conditions, and specifications
  • Collaborate with Manufacturing, Engineering, Sales, Shipping, and other internal teams to ensure customer satisfaction
  • Address customer concerns by identifying solutions and following up to ensure resolution
  • Support Shipping and Logistics with domestic and international order fulfillment
  • Identify and report potential safety concerns and adhere to applicable quality and operational procedures
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management

Qualifications

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to compose professional correspondence
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for basic reporting and data tracking
  • Excellent time-management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment
  • Typing speed of 40+ WPM and solid mathematical aptitude

 

Education & Experience

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Some college coursework preferred
  • Minimum of two (2) years of relevant customer service or administrative experience
  • Experience with data entry and ERP systems required (Microsoft Dynamics/Navision or similar preferred)
  • Willingness to travel occasionally for training or business needs, if applicable
