Pay Rate: $18.00 per hour
Location: Lincoln, NE 68508
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM
Work Arrangement: Hybrid, On-Site Mondays and Tuesdays

We are seeking an experienced Customer Service Representative I to support Nebraska Medicaid and Long Term Care Provider Screening and Enrollment. This position plays an important role in assisting healthcare providers throughout the Medicaid enrollment process, reviewing provider applications, verifying information, answering questions, and ensuring enrollment requirements are completed accurately and efficiently.
 
The ideal candidate will have at least two years of call center experience, strong customer service and communication skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Previous experience in healthcare, Medicaid, or provider services is a plus.
 
This is a hybrid opportunity based in Lincoln, Nebraska. Candidates are required to work in the office on Mondays and Tuesdays, as well as additional days when needed for training or other business activities.
 
Key Responsibilities
• Review and screen provider enrollment applications for Nebraska Medicaid.
• Research, verify, and document provider information using secure external web services and provider enrollment systems.
• Complete provider screening and enrollment activities according to established project policies, procedures, and protocols.
• Provide excellent customer service by responding to provider calls, gathering information, answering questions, and assisting with enrollment-related inquiries.
• Communicate with providers regarding the status of their enrollment applications.
• Notify providers of missing or incorrect information and documentation needed to complete the enrollment process.
• Coordinate with Site Visit Field Staff to verify and document site visit results.
• Maintain current knowledge of Nebraska Medicaid Provider Screening and Enrollment policies, procedures, and program requirements.
• Follow established Standard Operating Procedures and contractual requirements.
• Meet or exceed established productivity and Quality Assurance standards.
• Escalate issues or concerns to management when necessary to ensure timely resolution and compliance.
• Cross-train to provide backup support to other Customer Service Specialists.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
 
Minimum Qualifications
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of 2 years of call center experience required.
• At least 2 years of relevant professional experience.
• Strong customer service experience, preferably within healthcare or a provider services environment.
• Excellent organizational, verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Ability to type at least 30 words per minute.
• Strong computer literacy and ability to learn new systems and applications.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
• Ability to successfully manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
 
Preferred Qualifications
• Associate degree from an accredited college or university.
• Previous experience supporting healthcare providers, Medicaid, Medicare, or other healthcare programs.
• Experience with provider screening, enrollment, credentialing, or application processing.
• Bilingual language skills are a plus but are not required.
