Customer Service Representative

The primary responsibility of this position is to help deepen customer relationships, attract additional customers and directly service customers with the paying and receiving functions of the bank. This position is responsible for promoting additional products to customers and prospects, assisting customers with services supporting the overall relationship building efforts of the bank. As a CSR, this position will be responsible for balancing the cash, staying within drawer limits, understanding related compliance regulations related to teller services. ACCOUNTABILITIES:Perform paying and receiving functions for customers. This will include taking deposits, withdrawals, selling cashier's checks, transfers and loan payments from customers. Provide a high level of customer service. This includes receiving and answering telephone question inquiries from customers and internal staff regarding routine problems such as transactions, account status, charges, interest, etc. Difficult questions should be referred to the supervisor or appropriate personnel.Maintain favorable customer relations through proper handling of all collection and disbursement functions.Assist consumer customers with debit card inquiries/replacements/fraud questions.Assist customers with purchase, fees and entry to their safe deposit box, ensuring all bank procedures are followed in the process. Process incoming mail transactions and open night deposit and distributing the contents to proper individuals and processing all deposits and other transactions.Maintain favorable customer relations and promote Bank services through needs identification thus ensuring the most positive and profitable relationship possible exists between the Bank and its customers. Participate in the various retail product campaigns the bank initiates. This position will know other products the bank offers. In that capacity, this person will refer customers to the appropriate department in the bank for service. Ensure that the assigned cash balances on a daily basis and is kept secure at all times and assist in reconciling errors or discrepancies for self and other tellers.Must keep cash drawer within assigned drawer limits. Count and verify currency to sell. As part of the overall team of bank employees, this position may be requested to assist in the support of other bank activities.
