    Overview

    Join a fast-paced orthopaedic practice supporting UF Health Jacksonville's accredited Level I Trauma Center while serving patients across the full spectrum of orthopaedic subspecialties. From acute injuries and fracture care to sports medicine, hand, foot and ankle, and joint reconstruction, you'll gain valuable experience caring for a diverse patient population in a dynamic clinical environment.     Under the direction of the Supervisor, the Customer Service Representative is responsible for scheduling patient appointments and managing the clinical medical records system. This role serves as a liaison between patients and hospital staff to ensure efficient communication and a positive patient experience.

    Responsibilities

    • Schedule patient appointments in accordance with clinic protocols and provider availability.
    • Maintain and update patient information within the clinical medical records system.
    • Serve as a liaison between patients and hospital/clinic staff to facilitate communication and coordination of care.
    • Provide excellent customer service to patients, families, and healthcare staff.
    • Ensure accuracy and confidentiality when handling patient information.
    • Support efficient patient flow and assist with resolving scheduling or system-related issues.
    • Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor.

    Qualifications

    Education

    • High school diploma or GED required.
    • Completion of a Medical Terminology course preferred.

    Experience

    • One (1) to two (2) years of customer service experience required.
    • Two (2) years of customer service experience in a healthcare-related environment preferred.

    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

    • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
    • Ability to remain professional, courteous, and composed in stressful situations.
    • Basic understanding of medical terminology.
    • Ability to provide customer service to patients of all age groups.
    • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
