    Client Service Representative – Per Diem

    $18.00–$22.00/hour (DOE)
    Per Diem opportunity in Honolulu, Hawaii
    Schedule: Casual | Minimum of two shifts per month

    Join the Client Care team at Veterinary Emergency + Referral Center of Hawaii (VERC) and help create an exceptional experience for pets and their families. As a Per Diem Client Service Representative, you'll serve as the first point of contact for clients visiting one of Hawaii's premier emergency and specialty veterinary hospitals while supporting a collaborative team dedicated to outstanding patient care.

    Per Diem Requirements: This is a casual, as-needed position. Per diem Client Service Representatives are required to work a minimum of two shifts per month to maintain active status.

    In Your Day-to-Day, You Will

    • Welcome clients and patients with warmth, professionalism, and compassion.
    • Serve as the first point of contact for emergency and specialty clients.
    • Prepare, review, and maintain accurate client and patient medical records.
    • Educate clients about hospital services, policies, and treatment processes.
    • Schedule appointments, manage emergency visits, and respond to client requests.
    • Process patient admissions, discharges, and follow-up appointments.
    • Accurately prepare invoices, collect payments, and maintain financial records.
    • Update and maintain electronic client and patient files in accordance with hospital standards.
    • Perform administrative duties including scanning, emailing, filing, and document management.
    • Work closely with veterinarians, technicians, and support teams.
    • Contribute to a positive, team-focused hospital culture.

    What You Bring

    • Previous customer service experience required; veterinary or medical reception experience preferred.
    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
    • Strong knowledge of Windows-based computer applications.
    • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and remain organized in a fast-paced environment.
    • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to recognize when guidance is needed.
    • Professional, compassionate, and client-focused attitude.
    • Ability to build positive working relationships with teammates and clients.
    • A collaborative mindset and commitment to exceptional client service.
