Customer Service Representative - Precious Metals

We have a challenging opportunity for a Customer Service Rep I - JFK Commodities.
Hourly Rate: $22-$24
Job Summary:
The Customer Service Representative is responsible for building and maintaining a professional relationship with our Commodities storage and Precious Metals customers both international and domestic. The qualified candidate will be responsible for receiving and processing shipments from major customers, international affiliates relating to domestic and international commodities shipments and storage orders and will be responsible for effectively communicating this information/coordinating delivery with Brink's Incorporated, and domestic operations. In addition this position will be responsible for assisting the Commodities team in pick pack initiatives and support other operational departments of the division as necessary.
Key Responsibilities:
Respond to incoming communications from internal and external customers and where necessary resolve and escalate issues as needed.
Provide information for all precious metal services.
Respond to inquiries regarding status of shipments in transit; follow through on trace request as necessary; provide proof of delivery as requested.
Improve the Customer friendliness and ease of use of Customer Facing Solutions.
Handle additional administrative responsibilities, reports and/or projects that involve Customer Support at management discretion.
Research customer claims ensuring the highest level of customer service on every call and ensure that all service complaints are handled diplomatically, channeling pertinent information to customer service manager.
Minimum Qualifications:
Minimum of 3 years of experience in Customer Service with a concentration in logistics & supply chain or related field or internal BGS experience of a similar nature.
Minimum of 3 year of experience using MS Office and Windows applications
Must be 21 years or older
Preferred Qualifications:
Excellent computer skills to include Microsoft Office applications
Demonstrated record of achievement as a self-starter and team-player
Excellent detail orientation and follow-up skills
Bachelor's Degree

Professional, positive demeanor.
Excellent customer service.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Excellent interpersonal and analytical skills as well as working collaboratively with others
Customer focused and able to multi task in a fast paced environment.
