Schedule: Part-Time, 32 hours per week Wednesday- Saturday 8:30am-5:00pm

Duration: Temporary position through mid-October

Pay: $20.28 per hour

Location: Norfolk Zoo, Norfolk, VA

Join our team at the Norfolk Zoo! We are looking for friendly, customer-focused individuals to provide exceptional service to our guests during our busy season. This is a temporary part-time opportunity through mid-October, offering 32 hours per week at $20.28 per hour.

Position Summary

As a Customer Service Representative, you will be one of the first points of contact for our guests. You will assist with ticket sales, memberships, and general guest inquiries while creating a welcoming and positive experience for every visitor.

Responsibilities

• Process admission ticket sales accurately and efficiently.
• Assist guests with purchasing and renewing Zoo memberships.
• Provide information about Zoo exhibits, events, and amenities.
• Answer guest questions and resolve concerns in a professional manner.
• Operate a point-of-sale (POS) system and handle cash and credit card transactions.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Deliver outstanding customer service while working in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Cash handling or retail sales experience preferred.
• Ability to work weekends, holidays, and a flexible schedule.
• Comfortable working in a busy, outdoor environment.
• Reliable, punctual, and a positive team player.
