Graham Personnel Services is seeking a Customer Service Representative/Retail Counter for a growing client in Lexington.
In this role, you'll be the first point of contact for customers, assisting with product inquiries, processing orders, and ensuring an exceptional customer experience from start to finish.
The ideal candidate is customer-focused, detail-oriented, and thrives in a fast-paced environment. While experience in metal sales or the building materials industry is a plus, our client is happy to train someone with a positive attitude, strong communication skills, and a willingness to learn.
Location: Lexington, NC
Schedule: Monday–Thursday, 7:00 AM–5:00 PM | Friday, 7:00 AM–12:00 PM
Pay rate: $20-22/hr.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers in person and over the phone with professionalism and a friendly attitude.
- Assist customers with product selection and answer questions about metal products and building materials.
- Prepare and process customer orders, quotes, invoices, and payments accurately.
- Coordinate with warehouse and production teams to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment.
- Maintain accurate customer records and order information.
- Resolve customer questions and concerns promptly while providing excellent service.
- Assist with inventory inquiries and product availability.
- Keep the front office and retail service area clean, organized, and welcoming.
- Perform general administrative and clerical duties as needed.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in customer service, retail, inside sales, or a related role preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational skills with great attention to detail.
- Comfortable using computers, email, and order entry or point-of-sale systems.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
- Positive attitude, dependable work ethic, and eagerness to learn.
- Experience in metal sales, roofing, construction, or building materials is a plus, but not required.
