Description:
We’re hiring a Customer Service Representative I to join a fast-paced life sciences organization in San Diego. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working directly with customers, managing high-volume orders, and learning new systems and processes.

What You’ll Do

• Process 75–150 customer orders per day accurately through an ERP system.
• Provide exceptional customer service by phone and email.
• Place new orders and provide customers with product availability and delivery information.
• Review orders for discrepancies or potential delivery issues and work with customers to resolve them.
• Navigate multiple systems and ordering platforms throughout the order lifecycle.
• Learn and apply fulfillment requirements for different customer accounts.
• Support customers from a variety of public and private research institutions.
• Meet established productivity, quality, and customer service goals.
• Escalate issues that could impact customer satisfaction or on-time delivery.
• Participate in daily team meetings and contribute ideas and solutions.
• Handle confidential customer information professionally.
• Assist with additional projects and responsibilities as needed.

What We’re Looking For

• 0–1 year of customer service experience or a strong interest in building a career in customer support.
• Experience with high-volume data entry or order processing is a plus.
• Familiarity with ERP, CRM, or EDI systems is preferred.
• Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
• Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle challenging customer interactions with empathy and professionalism.
• High school diploma or GED required.
