Customer Service Representative Inside Sales

Position Overview

We are seeking a customer-focused Customer Service Representative / Inside Sales Representative to provide high levels of customer service, sales support, and technical product assistance.

This position is responsible for responding to customer inquiries, preparing quotes, processing orders, sourcing products, coordinating with suppliers, and helping ensure customers receive the products and services they need. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, reliable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced sales and customer service environment.

Key Responsibilities

Customer Service & Inside Sales

• Respond to customer inquiries and provide timely, professional assistance.
• Prepare customer quotes and process sales orders.
• Proactively generate sales and promote company products and services.
• Troubleshoot customer concerns and assist with issue resolution.
• Build and maintain positive relationships with customers.
• Communicate with customers and suppliers to ensure orders are completed accurately.

Order Management & Supply Chain Support

• Order and source products based on customer requirements.
• Coordinate with suppliers regarding product availability and order fulfillment.
• Negotiate sales and purchase prices as appropriate.
• Monitor and expedite backordered products.
• Assist with customer returns and related documentation.
• Help ensure orders are processed and fulfilled correctly and on time.
• Utilize knowledge of supply chain systems to support order management activities.

Inventory & Shipping Support

• Assist with pulling inventory as needed.
• Help prepare products and orders for shipment.
• Coordinate with internal teams to support timely customer deliveries.

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Previous customer service and/or sales experience.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Reliable, organized, detail-oriented, and focused.
• Ability to multitask and effectively manage time and priorities.
• Moderate computer proficiency.
• Experience communicating internally and externally through email.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous industry or inside sales experience.
• Knowledge of supply chain systems.
• Knowledge of industrial products is helpful.
• Experience working with customer orders, quotes, suppliers, inventory, or product sourcing.
