Job Title: Customer Service Representative (Industrial Sales Support)Position SummaryB&H Distributors is hiring a detail-oriented and proactive Customer Service Representative to support our sales and operations team. This role is critical in ensuring accurate order processing, timely vendor coordination, and maintaining strong customer relationships. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced industrial distribution environment and be comfortable handling multiple priorities simultaneously.Key ResponsibilitiesOrder & Quote ManagementPrepare and process customer quotes, sales orders, purchase orders, and stock ordersAssist outside sales representatives by obtaining vendor pricing and generating competitive quotesEnsure all orders are entered accurately and in a timely mannerVendor CoordinationCommunicate with vendors daily to:Request pricing and product availabilityObtain and track estimated time of arrival (ETA) updatesFollow up on open orders to ensure timely delivery and resolve delays proactivelyInventory ManagementMonitor inventory levels and identify replenishment needsProcess stock replenishment orders, frequently coordinating with internal team members (e.g., Chase)Help maintain optimal inventory levels to support customer demandCustomer SupportServe as a point of contact for customer inquiries and order updatesProvide support to legacy or key accounts as neededMaintain a high level of customer service and responsivenessDocumentation & AccuracyEnsure all transactions are properly documented with supporting paperworkMaintain organized records for:QuotesOrdersVendor confirmationsVerify pricing, quantities, and terms on all transactionsSpecialized Vendor CoordinationManage and process all orders associated with Sherwin-Williams productsEnsure compliance with vendor-specific requirements and ordering processesRequired Skills & Qualifications2+ years of experience in customer service, order processing, or inside sales (industrial or distribution experience preferred)Strong organizational skills with high attention to detailAbility to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectivelyExcellent communication skills (written and verbal)Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, etc.)Experience with ERP or order entry systems is a plusPreferred QualificationsBackground in industrial distribution, construction materials, or corrosion control productsExperience working with vendor quotes and supply chain coordinationFamiliarity with inventory management processesKey Traits for SuccessHighly responsive and dependableStrong problem-solving abilityTeam-oriented with a willingness to support sales staffComfortable working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environmentCompensation & Benefits• Competitive pay, commensurate with experience• Bonus opportunities based on performance• Comprehensive benefits packageReporting StructureReports to: Branch Manager / Operations ManagerWorks closely with: Outside Sales Team, Purchasing, Vendors, and Key CustomersPerformance MetricsOrder accuracy and processing timeVendor response and follow-up efficiencyInventory stock-out reductionCustomer satisfaction and responsiveness
