Position Overview:

The Customer Service Representative serves as a key point of contact for customers and is responsible for ensuring a positive shopping experience. This role involves assisting customers with questions and concerns, processing transactions accurately, maintaining a clean and organized work area, and supporting front-end store operations. Successful candidates will be customer-focused, dependable, and committed to delivering friendly and efficient service.

 

This position is located in Staten Island, NY.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Greet customers and provide prompt, courteous service and assistance
  • Answer customer questions and provide information about products, services, promotions, and store programs
  • Resolve customer concerns and escalate issues when appropriate
  • Operate point-of-sale (POS) systems and accurately process payments, refunds, coupons, gift cards, EBT, WIC, and other transactions
  • Properly bag customer purchases safely and efficiently
  • Maintain clean, organized, and safe customer service and front-end areas
  • Support store operations by assisting with restocking, merchandising, and other assigned tasks
  • Promote loyalty programs, charitable campaigns, and special promotions
  • Follow all company policies, safety procedures, sanitation standards, and applicable regulations
Requirements:
  • Previous customer service experience required
  • Open availability to work assigned schedules
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to provide prompt, courteous, and professional service to all customers
  • Ability to stand for extended periods, including shifts that may exceed eight hours
  • Ability to regularly lift, pull, push, and move merchandise weighing up to 25 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to work cooperatively as part of a team
  • Reliable attendance and punctuality required
  • Must be at least 18 years old to operate certain store equipment, including balers, power jacks, hi-los, and slicing machines
Pay Range: USD $17.00 - USD $17.00 /Hr.
