The Staten Island Workforce1 Career Center is partnering with PLS Financial Services to find qualified candidates for a Customer Service Representative in Staten Island, NY. PLS provides everyday financial services designed to make managing money more convenient, including check cashing, money orders, bill payment, direct deposit, and money transfers. The company focuses on providing professional, friendly service and convenient financial solutions to customers.

Position Overview:

The Customer Service Representative provides friendly and efficient service to customers using PLS financial services. The role processes financial transactions, verifies customer information and documentation, and assists customers with questions or transaction-related concerns. Representatives also promote company products and services while maintaining confidentiality and accurate records. This position supports daily branch operations while providing a professional customer experience.

 

This position is located in Staten Island, New York.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide outstanding customer service to customers using financial services.
• Process financial transactions accurately and efficiently.
• Verify customer information and required documentation.
• Assist customers with questions and transaction-related concerns.
• Promote company products and services to current and potential customers.
• Maintain confidentiality and safeguard sensitive customer information.
• Maintain accurate transaction records and documentation.
• Follow company policies, procedures, and transaction requirements.

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED.
• At least 6 months of customer service or cash-handling experience.
• Experience in check cashing, lending, banking, retail, fast food, or consumer finance.
• Customer service experience in a fast-paced environment.
• Cash handling, cash register, transaction processing, or cash drawer balancing experience preferred.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to process transactions accurately and follow established procedures.
• English language proficiency required.
• Must be available to work in a 24-hour operation, Monday-Sunday.

Pay Range: USD $17.00 - USD $17.00 /Hr.
