As a Customer Service Representative (CSR) for a Farmers Insurance agency, you will play a key role in delivering exceptional service to our clients while supporting the agencys daily operations. You will be the first point of contact for customers, assisting with policy servicing, answering coverage questions, processing changes, and helping ensure a smooth and positive client experience. This role is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, personable, and thrives in a fast-paced, team-driven environment.

You will work closely with the agency owner, producers, and team members to maintain strong client relationships, improve retention, and support the overall growth of the agency. Success in this role comes from strong communication skills, organization, and a genuine desire to help people protect what matters most.

Salary Range: $19.00 per hour

Responsibilities

  • Provide outstanding customer service by handling inbound calls, emails, and walk-in clients
  • Assist clients with policy changes, renewals, billing questions, and coverage explanations
  • Process endorsements, claims assistance, and policy updates accurately and efficiently
  • Maintain and update client records in agency management systems
  • Follow up with clients to ensure satisfaction and retention
  • Support the sales team by identifying cross-sell and upsell opportunities
  • Handle claims inquiries and guide clients through the claims process
  • Manage daily administrative tasks to support agency operations
  • Assist with marketing efforts, including outbound calls, email campaigns, and client outreach
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and insurance regulations
  • Work collaboratively with the team to meet agency goals and performance targets

Requirements
  • Previous customer service experience (insurance or sales experience preferred, but not required)
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to build rapport and maintain positive relationships with clients
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and multitasking abilities
  • Comfortable using computers, CRM systems, and learning new software
  • Ability to problem-solve and think critically in a fast-paced environment
  • Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and team-first mindset
  • Willingness to obtain and maintain insurance licenses (if not already licensed)
  • Basic understanding of insurance products or willingness to learn
  • Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and integrity
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to manage time effectively
