Job Description:

Join the inbound call center team at Pennsylvania One Call System, Inc., located in West Mifflin, PA!

As a customer service representative, you will be responsible for handling inbound calls from homeowners, excavators, designers, and utility owners.  You will be required to communicate empathetically with our customers to understand and address their needs. In order to succeed in this position, you will need to exhibit a strong attention to detail, a high level of critical thinking skills, the ability to gather, analyze, and comprehend worksite data, and translate that data to a digital mapping system.

Position Requirements:

  • High School Diploma, general education degree, or equivalent
  • 2+ years of previous experience within a customer facing environment is preferred
  • Exceptional phone skills and cooperative communication style
  • Must have a helpful and positive attitude; “How can I help you?”
  • Ability to remain calm and courteous in a high pressure, fast-paced, and sometimes stressful environment
  • Fast-learner with proficiency in general computer knowledge and multiple computer applications.  This includes: Web Applications, Chrome, Microsoft Office, Microsoft Teams, Zoom, and more
  • Typing speed of 40+ WPM required
  • Flexible schedule
  • Complete and pass a pre-employment drug test and background check
