    Job Description

    Norco is currently seeking an individual to fill our 'Industrial Store Customer Service Representative/Loader/Non-CDL Delivery Driver' position. The Customer Service Representative/Loader/Non-CDL Delivery Driver is responsible for serving walk-in customers, loading and unloading of cylinders and freight from trucks, and delivering full cylinders and liquid vessels for empty ones to customers as a backup driver. Other responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

    • Greet customers in a professional and enthusiastic way
    • Answer telephone calls promptly
    • Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of products, placement, availability, price and use
    • Sell welding and safety products and services to customer
    • Process customer orders and accurately input customer order into the computer
    • Handle cash sales accurately
    • Research products needed for customer special applications
    • Follow up on customer orders not processed correctly and remedy situation
    • Determine weights of cylinders and freight on orders to be loaded on each truck/trailer
    • Load truck trailers so that applicable weight limits are not exceeded. Load, unload, and handle all materials so that it is not damaged while loading, unloading, or during transport
    • Unload trucks, move freight and return goods and cylinders to proper holding and storage areas
    • Deliver freight and gas cylinders to customers as a backup driver
    • Adhere to all established procedures, policies and safety rules
    • Perform other tasks as assigned or needed

    Qualifications

    • High school graduate or equivalent
    • Good working knowledge of all industrial products and gases preferred
    • Excellent customer service skills
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Good organizational skills
    • Ability to stand for extended periods of time
    • Ability to frequently lift up to 50 lbs
    • Ability to occasionally lift up to 100 lbs
    • Ability to accurately enter data into computer
    • Attention to detail required. Must keep neat and accurate records
    • Class Regular license
    • No at fault accidents in the past 3 years
    • Be flexible to do other duties as assigned or as needed
