Description
Customer Service Specialist Farmington Hills, MIPay: $23.00/hour Full-Time | 13-Week Contract Our client is seeking a compassionate and customer-focused Customer Service Specialist to join their healthcare team. Provide exceptional customer service by responding to member inquiries via phone, mail, and in person.
Research, investigate, and resolve customer questions, complaints, and appeals in a timely and professional manner.
Educate members on healthcare plans, benefits, policies, procedures, and coverage options.
Accurately document all customer interactions and maintain detailed records.
Collaborate with internal departments and healthcare providers to resolve member concerns.
Identify trends and recommend process improvements to enhance the customer experience.
Support member enrollment activities, outreach initiatives, and departmental projects.
Ensure compliance with HIPAA, privacy regulations, and company policies.
Manage multiple cases while providing timely follow-up and service recovery.
Qualifications Required
Minimum of 2 years of recent customer service or call center experience within the past three years.
Associate's Degree OR four (4) years of recent healthcare customer service experience in lieu of a degree.
Medical Terminology course (must be completed within six months of hire if not already completed).
Knowledge of HMO, PPO, POS health plans and claims billing processes.
Strong communication, customer service, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and general computer applications.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Dependable with a high level of professionalism, empathy, integrity, and attention to detail.
Willingness to work flexible schedules, including evenings, weekends, and overtime as needed.
Schedule
Monday through Friday
Full-Time (40 hours per week)
13-Week Assignment

Compensation & Benefits
$23.00 per hour
