Description: Judge Direct Placement is seeking a Customer Service Supervisor in Manhattan, NY area! The candidate will be responsible to support all front of store operations across New York stores.
The Customer Experience Supervisor is a key leader responsible for ensuring an exceptional shopping experience across all customer touchpoints. This role oversees and develops the Front of Store (FOS) and Online Pick‑Up & Delivery (OPD) teams, driving consistent, efficient, and high‑quality service in-store, online, and via mobile channels.


Responsibilities: 

  • Provide strong leadership and direction to the Front End, OPD, Courtesy, Carts, and Scanning teams, as well as to Customer Service Managers (CSMs), ensuring alignment with company goals and full accountability for performance.
  • Partner with the Store Manager to maintain high operational standards and deliver GREAT service across all customer touchpoints.
  • Conduct regular check‑ins with Courtesy, Scanning, OPD, Carts, and new‑to‑role leaders to assess progress, deliver feedback, and reinforce shared goals.
  • Participate actively in store huddles and model expected behaviors through consistent floor presence, hands‑on support, and visible engagement with teams and customers.
  • Coach and develop leaders in best practices that strengthen team culture, enhance service consistency, and support a positive, high‑performance environment.
Requirements: 
  • Minimum 3 years of leadership experience in retail, grocery, hospitality, or a similar customer‑focused environment (preferred).
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Retail Management, or a related field (preferred).
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to motivate teams, manage multiple priorities, and deliver results in a fast‑paced setting.
  • Experience applying diverse training methods, including on‑the‑job coaching, mentorship, and e‑learning.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple assignments simultaneously.
  • Excellent facilitation and communication skills, effective in one‑on‑one conversations as well as small and large group settings.
  • Proven ability to teach, coach, and develop individuals and teams.
  • Strong teamwork and collaboration skills, with an emphasis on cross‑department partnership.
  • Customer‑centric mindset, with awareness of current trends in customer experience and service.
  • Demonstrates empathy, emotional intelligence, and a people‑first leadership approach.
  • Shows initiative, creativity, and effective problem‑solving capabilities.
  • High level of attention to detail, accuracy, and comfort working with numbers and data.
  • Solid understanding of department operations, processes, and functional workflows (highly desirable).
  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite, Google tools, scheduling systems, and the ability to learn new platforms as needed.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays, based on business needs.
