Pay Range: $77,100.00 – $96,400.00 USD (annual)Job Summary The Commodities Customer Service Supervisor is responsible for providing hands‑on customer service and assistance, managing escalations to resolve customer complaints and operational issues. This role collaborates with Customer Service leadership and other departments to support all customer‑service related matters while ensuring the division operates efficiently.Key Responsibilities Schedule PTO coverage and manage daily operations for the commodities customer‑service team.Coordinate day‑to‑day activities of the commodities customer‑service team.Interface with customers and field locations to ensure smooth departmental operations.Manage all Commodities Customer Service processes and work closely with Operations, Sales, and Security to make timely decisions, communicate appropriately, and adjust to business fluctuations.Provide and communicate accurate information and pricing for services to customers and, where necessary, other internal departments.Work with Regional Managers to address field office concerns and maintain relationships with customers and overseas affiliates.Collaborate with the GM to train staff, create KPIs, and measure success.Prepare and submit service orders.Maintain special logs, reports, and records as requested.Handle service concerns diplomatically, escalating complaints to appropriate personnel as needed.Respond to inquiries regarding the status of items in transit through the system.Perform other duties as assigned and deemed necessary.Minimum Qualifications At least 5 years of experience in Commodities Customer Service with a focus on high‑volume and large‑account management.Minimum age of 21 years.At least 5 years of experience using Microsoft Office and transportation‑field software programs (industry‑based and proprietary).Availability to work weekends, holidays, and/or extended hours.Preferred Qualifications Experience in a fast‑paced high‑volume export department for an air freight forwarder.More than 5 years of experience servicing customers in the transportation/logistics industry as a coordinator, shipment router, or similar role.Strong basic math skills.Transferable internal BGS experience in exports, customer service, or related operations with knowledge of BITS, ATLAS, and GARCIA.Professional Skills Professional, positive demeanor.Excellent customer service skills.Collaborative work style.Strong ethics and integrity.Ability to work independently and as part of a productive team.Strong attention to detail.Analytical problem‑solving ability.Benefits Competitive salary.Medical, dental, vision, and life insurance plans for eligible employees.401(k) plan.We are an Equal Opportunity Employer and do not discriminate against any employee or applicant for employment because of race, color, sex, age, national origin, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity, status as a veteran, and basis of disability or any other federal, state, or local protected class.#J-18808-Ljbffr
