ROLE: The Customer Service Supervisor is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the customer service/inside sales team to ensure that our customers receive the highest quality service on time, every time. Responsible for leading and training the inside team in their daily functions.

HOURS: This is an in-office, full-time position. Monday through Friday.

WAGE: $65,000–$80,000 annually, salaried (depending on experience)

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Conduct oneself with the highest level of integrity, positively representing the company and employees in a trustworthy and sincere manner.
  • Assist in creating a supportive team-oriented work climate that supports our values and enables team members to develop professionally.
  • Conduct regular team meetings to foster open communication of current needs and challenges and create opportunities for team participation and success.
  • Collaborate on developing training programs focused on leadership, product knowledge, customer service, and technical systems.
  • Involved in the hiring, management, evaluation and disciplinary processes for all Inside Sales and Office Personnel.
  • Supervise the day-to-day planning, operation, and problem-solving of the Customer Service, Reception, Billing, and Estimation teams. Monitor workloads and adjust responsibilities and workflow as needed.
  • Responsible for ensuring that the team processes all orders, customer calls, quotes, backorders, confirmations, credits, replacement orders etc., efficiently and timely to ensure a positive customer experience.
  • Manage and approve all PTO requests and calendar updates for inside sales, as well as administrative and reception staff.
  • Works with branch and corporate leadership to ensure required price pages are available.
  • Manage open order reports
  • Have an advanced understanding of the branch's shop, warehouse, and shipping processes.

CORE SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must have at least five (5) years of experience working in a customer service office environment.
  • Two (2) to five (5) years of Supervisorial experience preferred.
  • Familiarity with the door and/or millwork industry, or building industry, is preferred.
  • Passion for driving change and delivering results through commitment to operational excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Significant experience with Outlook, Word, and Excel software required.
  • Knowledge of telephone communications, office systems, and record keeping required.
  • Related college degree preferred (not required).

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position for prolonged periods of time. This will include driving to locations or working in office settings. When in the office, there will be an option to stand or sit while stationary.
  • Occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machines, etc.
  • Ability to operate a computer and other office equipment.
  • The ability to communicate information and ideas clearly through written and verbal forms so that others will understand.
  • The capability to lift and move heavy objects occasionally, such as doors or equipment.
  • Capacity to work in various environments, including warehouses and offices.
  • Ability to bend and reach comfortably.
