Now hiring Customer Site Service Manager

CSSM Southfield MI BASF Coatings LLC is seeking a Customer Site Service Manager reporting to our Southfield MI location, telecommuting permitted, to be responsible for providing on-site technical and application expertise of product performance, including color management, defect identification, and corrective action. Supporting the daily operation of BASF products in Customer Automotive Assembly Plants. Executing the Key Account Plan for this customer site. Ensuring creation of value for BASF and customer. Overseeing existing customer relationships and developing new ones. Assuring product performance meets or exceeds customer expectations and supports business objectives to be our customers supplier of choice. Responding to customer requirements, enforcing product quality and performance specification, and supporting new product application development. Support the efforts of a BASF sales/technical team to assure value to the customer for product technical support, problem investigation, analysis, and resolution. Service clients in the Austin TX area. 5 domestic travel required. Telecommuting permitted.

Job Requirements

The position requires a Bachelors degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, or related, and five years of related experience required. 5 domestic travel. Telecommuting permitted. Experience must include the following:

• Overseeing application processes, including presets, application fluid, shaping, air RPMs, distances, and paths application • Providing solutions to paint production problems • Supervising production lines to ensure product quality • Launching of workability, colors, new materials • Evaluating and analyzing color vs. STD and global harmony appearance, film build, dehydration of the paint, and online material performance, including lab tests • Analyzing and optimizing application conditions to ensure appearance and quality product, including booth condition, heated flash condition, and oven parameters • Reviewing material handling • Tinting of online materials to achieve required color harmony • Providing process improvement recommendations to customer engineering • Follow document and provide feasibility analysis of customer line trials
