Overview

We are seeking an experienced Customer Site Engineer to serve as the primary liaison between a customer plant and the manufacturing organization. This role is embedded at the customer facility and is responsible for product verification, issue analysis, containment activities, and customer communication. The ideal candidate has a strong engineering background, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work independently in a customer facing environment.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the on site communication link between the customer plant and the manufacturing facility
  • Re verify parts within internal computer systems and ensure data accuracy
  • Perform first level analysis of non conformances and verify all suspect product
  • Expedite non conforming material back to the manufacturing facility on the same day
  • Input and maintain data in the Incident Reporting System (IRS)
  • Conduct and/or coordinate initial 24 hour containment activities; coordinate additional containment as required
  • Provide technical support and system understanding to internal and customer teams
  • Maintain and oversee product test equipment
  • Actively participate as a member of cross functional response teams
  • Write and submit weekly activity/trip reports
  • Monitor and help manage customer return Parts Per Million (PPM) rates
  • Provide or coordinate special event and containment activities
  • Develop and maintain strong customer relationships to improve product quality and support ongoing business growth

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor s degree in Engineering
  • 6 10+ years of related work experience in manufacturing, quality, or customer support engineering
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency with Excel, Word, and email
  • Ability to analyze data, troubleshoot issues, and drive resolution
  • Highly organized with strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Comfortable interfacing directly with customers in a plant environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working on site at customer manufacturing facilities
  • Background in quality engineering, customer quality, or supplier quality roles
  • Experience managing containment activities and customer returns metrics (PPM)
