Customer Support Representative (Manufacturing)
? Pasadena, TX (Onsite for Training → Remote After Training)
? $24/hr | 4-Month Contract | Potential for Permanent Hire
? Monday-Friday | 8:00 AM-5:00 PM
Sterling Engineering is hiring a Customer Support Representative for a global manufacturing company in the flow control industry. This is a great opportunity for someone with customer service or sales support experience in a manufacturing environment who enjoys working with customers and cross-functional teams. Successful candidates will have the opportunity to transition to a remote role after training, with potential for permanent employment.
What You'll Do
- Serve as the primary point of contact for customers
- Prepare quotes, proposals, and support the full bid process
- Review customer specifications and contract requirements
- Partner with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, and Sales teams
- Track quotes, forecasts, and sales reports
- Maintain CRM and sales records
- Support forecasting, reporting, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Deliver excellent customer service while managing multiple priorities
What We're Looking For
- 0-2 years of customer service, sales support, or commercial experience in a manufacturing environment
- Experience preparing quotes, proposals, or supporting contracts
- Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office
- Experience with ERP systems - Salesforce is a plus
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- Experience with pumps, rotating equipment, or industrial products is a plus
