Customer Support Representative

Location: Cary, NC 27513 | Onsite

COMPENSATION & SCHEDULE
• Pay: $22.00 per hour
• Training Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–6:00 PM (Onsite)
• Permanent Schedule: Monday–Friday, 11:30 AM–8:00 PM
• Possible rotating Saturday once per month with a weekday off
• Employment Type: Temp-to-Hire
ROLE IMPACT:
Support patients throughout the prescription refill process while helping ensure timely access to specialty medications. This role serves as a key connection between patients, providers, and internal teams by delivering exceptional customer service, maintaining accurate records, and resolving non-clinical issues. Success is measured by customer satisfaction, accuracy, responsiveness, and adherence to operational procedures.

Key Responsibilities
• Handle inbound and outbound calls related to prescription refills, medication deliveries, payment arrangements, and customer inquiries
• Coordinate refill deliveries, update patient records, process medical claims, and maintain accurate account documentation
• Verify insurance information, provide prescription status updates, and route clinical concerns to pharmacists or nurses
• Process payments, provide invoice copies upon request, and document customer interactions across multiple systems
• Identify and report adverse events and product complaints according to established procedures

Minimum Qualifications
• High School Diploma or GED required
• Minimum 1 year of customer service call center  experience

• Must have a PBTC or NC State Pharmacy Technician License
• Strong communication, organization, and customer service skills with the ability to demonstrate empathy and professionalism

Core Tools & Systems
• Customer Relationship Management (CRM) and management information systems
• Microsoft Office applications
• Call center and telephony systems
• Medical claims processing systems
• Electronic customer record documentation platforms

PREFERRED SKILLS
• Associate degree preferred
• Medical office, pharmacy, medical claims, or healthcare support experience preferred
• Knowledge of medical terminology and strong attention to detail
