About the Role:
Richard G Fleischer Jr is looking for a detail-oriented Customs Entry Writer to join our team in Los Angeles, CA. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in international trade compliance, ensuring smooth and accurate customs clearance for our clients. Responsibilities:

• Prepare and submit customs entry documentation in compliance with CBP regulations
• Classify imported goods using the Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS)
• Coordinate with importers, freight forwarders, and government agencies to facilitate cargo release
• Review commercial invoices, bills of lading, and packing lists for accuracy
• Monitor and resolve customs holds, exams, and compliance issues
• Maintain accurate records and entry files in accordance with recordkeeping requirements
• Communicate entry status updates to clients in a timely manner

Requirements:

• Prior experience as a Customs Entry Writer or in a customs brokerage environment 
• Working knowledge of CBP regulations, HTS classification, and trade compliance
• Familiarity with customs entry software and ABI/ACE filing systems
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple entries simultaneously
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Licensed Customs Broker designation is a plus
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented, deadline-driven environment
• Experience with Cargo Wise
