Cutter Operator

We are hiring immediately for an experienced Cutter for our Dallas, TX location (2nd shift preferred).

Job Summary

The Cutter Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and adjusting PHP, AMC, and Straight Knife cutting equipment to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality production.

This position involves machine setup, troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, quality inspections, and adherence to production schedules while maintaining close tolerances and meeting customer specifications.

Key Responsibilities (Essential Functions)

These are functions a qualified incumbent or applicant must be able to perform with or without reasonable accommodation.

• Set up and operate cutting equipment for scheduled production orders.
• Load materials and transport finished products using a forklift or clamp truck.
• Inspect products, make machine adjustments, and ensure quality specifications are met.
• Read work orders, select dies, and optimize layouts to minimize waste.
• Complete production reports and communicate equipment or quality issues.
• Perform routine maintenance, cleaning, and minor repairs.
• Support other department operations and provide backup coverage as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned based on business needs

Pay & Work Schedule

• Hourly Rate: $18 -- 19/hr (depending on experience) + applicable shift premium
• Training is typically on 1st shift (6:30am -- 2:30pm); may vary by availability
• Monday -- Friday; Saturdays required during peak production or as business needs dictate

Job Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Manufacturing machine setup and operating experience preferred.
• Ability to obtain forklift certification.
• Basic mechanical aptitude, measuring skills, perform basic math, basic computer systems
• Strong focus on safety, quality, and teamwork.

Physical Requirements & Work Environment

• Ability to stand and operate machinery for the duration of the shift.
• Frequent reaching, bending, twisting, and repetitive arm and wrist movements.
• Ability to regularly lift and carry up to 100 pounds with assistance, and frequently push up to 100 pounds and pull up to 75 pounds.
• Exposure to a manufacturing environment with elevated noise levels; hearing protection is required.
• Flexibility to work overtime as needed to support production demands.
• Exposure to noise, inks, solvents, adhesives, and high‑speed machinery
• Ability to work in warm or cool manufacturing conditions
• Must remain alert and attentive to safely operate production equipment for a full shift
