Description
The Cutting/Pressing Operator is responsible for operating production equipment used to cut, press, shape, and process materials and components according to established specifications. This position requires strong attention to detail, good hand-eye coordination, and the ability to safely operate machinery while maintaining quality and production standards.
Essential Responsibilities
Operate cutting, pressing, and related production equipment according to established procedures.
Set up and load materials into machines and fixtures as required.
Adjust machine settings and tooling as trained to maintain proper production specifications.
Monitor equipment during operation and make minor adjustments when necessary.
Inspect finished components for proper dimensions, appearance, and quality.
Use measuring tools and inspection equipment to verify product specifications.
Follow work orders, drawings, process instructions, and production specifications.
Identify and segregate defective or non-conforming materials.
Accurately complete production paperwork, inspection records, and other documentation.
Perform routine equipment cleaning and basic maintenance as required.
Maintain proper material identification and traceability.
Follow all safety, PPE, ESD, and quality procedures.
Maintain a clean and organized workstation.
Meet established production goals while maintaining accuracy and quality.
