Job Summary
This position is responsible for developing, coordinating, and executing sales sponsorship initiatives to support the festivals, events, and assets of the Grapevine Convention & Visitors Bureau (CVB).
Essential Functions
Develops, implements, and manages sponsorships to support Grapevine CVB festivals, events, and attractions, including Main Street Fest, GrapeFest, Christmas Capital of Texas, North Pole Express, Nash Farm events, and other CVB-produced activities.
Identifies, solicits, and secures corporate cash and in-kind sponsorships to meet established annual goals, while maintaining and growing long-term sponsor relationships.
Plans and executes sponsorship sales and marketing strategies through direct outreach, presentations, written proposals, and in-person meetings. Develops sponsorship packets, sales materials, and presentations for festivals, events, and CVB assets.
Maintains accurate and updated reports and databases for sponsors, prospects, vendors, and community partners; provides weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports on sales and sponsorship activity participation.
Works collaboratively with internal teams-including Marketing and Communications, Sales, and Festivals and Events-to ensure consistent messaging, accurate event information, and the successful delivery of sponsorship initiatives.
Develops and manages event and sponsorship budgets; monitors expenses and operates within established guidelines.
Represents the CVB at civic, service, and community meetings to promote sponsorships, foster relationships, and enhance community engagement.
Ensures timely and professional communication with both sponsors and partners and provides high-quality customer service before, during, and after each event.
Performs related duties as assigned when such duties are a logical and appropriate assignment to the position.
Regular and timely attendance are required for this position.
Interacts professionally and respectfully with the public, coworkers, and others in the course of daily work.
Required Skills
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS
Requires a Bachelors degree plus two years of sales experience with sponsorship and/or advertising sales and marketing or an equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the essential functions of the job.
Ability to organize and coordinate sponsor contracted requirements with festivals and events, enforce policies and procedures and make mature judgements.
Flexibility and overnight travel required.
Must pass a credit check and Federal/National criminal background check. Must have a valid Texas drivers license with an acceptable driving record as defined by City policy.
Must pass a pre-employment drug screen.
