Location: Lubbock, TX
Type: Contract
Shift & Schedule: Day Shift | 6:45 AM – 3:00 PM | 5 x 8-Hour Shifts | On-Call Required (Nights, Weekends & Holidays)
Pay Range: $54.00 - $62.00 Per Hour

Position Overview:

We are seeking a CVOR Surgical Technologist with strong Cardiovascular, Thoracic, and Vascular surgery experience to join a high-performing surgical team. The ideal candidate will have extensive CVOR experience, demonstrate excellent sterile technique, and provide exceptional support during complex cardiovascular surgical procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare the operating room, surgical instruments, and sterile field for cardiovascular, thoracic, and vascular surgical procedures.

  • Assist surgeons throughout procedures by anticipating surgical needs, maintaining sterile technique, and handling instruments efficiently.

  • Ensure proper handling, counting, and preparation of surgical instruments, supplies, and equipment before, during, and after procedures.

  • Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and the perioperative team to ensure safe, high-quality patient care.

  • Participate in required on-call coverage for nights, weekends, and holidays while maintaining patient safety and operating room readiness.

Required Qualifications

  • Current NBSTSA Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification required.

  • Minimum 2 years of consecutive CVOR Surgical Technologist experience in Cardiovascular surgery.

  • Required experience in Cardiovascular, Thoracic, and Vascular surgical procedures.

  • Previous travel assignment experience preferred.

  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced Level II Trauma Center environment.

  • Excellent knowledge of sterile technique, surgical instrumentation, and operating room procedures.

  • Strong communication, teamwork, and organizational skills.
