Are you a dedicated CVOR Technician seeking to advance your career in a dynamic surgical environment? We are looking for skilled and motivated professionals to join our team, providing exceptional support in a high-volume, multi-specialty operating room. Your expertise will directly contribute to life-saving procedures and patient outcomes, making a meaningful impact every day.
Required Skills:
- Valid BCLS and NBSTSA certification
- Minimum of 2 years of surgical technology experience
- Proficiency in scrub and circulating roles across various surgical specialties
- Ability to float to General OR cases as needed
- Strong knowledge of perioperative protocols and equipment, including two Xi DaVinci Robots
- Excellent teamwork, communication, and adaptability in a fast-paced setting
Nice to Have Skills:
- Experience with robotic-assisted surgeries
- Certification in advanced perioperative techniques
- Ability to work in multiple surgical disciplines beyond CVOR, including Endo, IR, PACU, and Cath Lab
- Familiarity with OR documentation systems and equipment troubleshooting
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Completion of accredited surgical technology program (associate's degree or higher)
- At least 2 years of prior CVOR or surgical tech experience in a hospital setting
Other Requirements:
- Willing to work a 4x10-hour day shift from 07:00 to 17:30
- Ability to float to General OR as required
- Commitment to maintaining certifications and compliance with facility policies
- Willingness to work in a setting where IU Health rules may impact employment due to upcoming policies (Check specific exemptions for perioperative staff)
