What Youll Do
- Scrub for cardiovascular, thoracic, and vascular surgeries, including CABG, EVAR, TEVAR, valve replacements, and more.
- Assist in intraoperative activities, maintaining aseptic techniques.
- Reprocess cardiovascular and thoracic instruments according to protocols.
- Support surgeons by preparing and managing surgical equipment and supplies.
- Ensure proper documentation within EPIC or applicable charting systems.
- Collaborate with team members during high-pressure trauma and cardiac procedures.
- Maintain safety standards and assist with crash cart management during emergencies.
What You Need
- Valid associate degree or certification as a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) with CVOR experience
- Minimum of 5 years total CST experience
- At least 2 years in cardiac and vascular surgery
- 1+ year CVOR experience, particularly in a Level I Trauma environment
- BLS certification required
- Strong skills in general OR procedures, thoracic, vascular, and CVOR-focused activities
- Ability to work flexible night shifts and adapt to a fast-paced surgical setting
