Required Skills:
- Minimum of 5+ years of total Certified Surgical Tech (CST) experience
- At least 2+ years of experience in cardiac and vascular surgeries
- 1+ year of CVOR experience handling cardiovascular procedures
- Thorough scrub experience in the OR
- Proficiency with cardiovascular/thoracic instrument reprocessing
- Strong aseptic technique and patient safety awareness
- Ability to effectively coordinate with the surgical team, including crash cart management and equipment documentation
- Familiarity with OR charting systems, specifically EPIC
- Certifications: BLS required
Nice to Have Skills:
- Experience working in a Level I Trauma facility
- Previous exposure to thoracic, vascular, and CVOR procedures such as CABG, EVAR, TEVAR, and valve replacements
- Additional certifications in specialized surgical techniques or equipment
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification
- 5+ years of OR experience with a focus on cardiac and vascular procedures
- Prior experience working in fast-paced, high-acuity environments
Other Requirements:
- Flexible availability to work evenings (2x8 and 2x12 shifts) with weekend rotations
- Ability to work within a 0630-2300 time frame as needed
- Willingness to work across various surgical and hospital settings within the designated hours
- Valid licensure and certifications in good standing
- Travel and reimbursements applicable when required
