About the Role
Toyota's Production Engineering (VME – Paint MTM/MS) is seeking a CW Engineer to lead construction and equipment install/commissioning projects. This 100% onsite role at the Georgetown, KY facility investigates project feasibility, develops scopes of work and bid packages, reviews technical drawings, coordinates and supervises contractors in green-field and brown-field environments, and drives projects to completion against schedule milestones and safety-code compliance.

• Ability to read technical drawings (2+ years)
• Some management experience (if in the trades)
• BS in Engineering, technical trade certification, or equivalent experience
• 3+ years in a manufacturing environment
• 3+ years of project management
• AutoCAD proficient
• Investigate project feasibility, scope, schedule, and budget
• Create scope of work, bid package, and project specifications
• Review technical drawings, provide feedback, and negotiate changes
• Evaluate safety compliance to local and national codes
• Collaborate with 3rd-party Safety Compliance Contractors
• Collaborate with multiple groups to design and install equipment and meet project milestones
• Supervise contractors in a green-field or brown-field work environment
• Coordinate installation with skilled trades, affiliate companies, engineers, and equipment manufacturers
• Develop countermeasures for project delays for timely project completion

Required Qualifications
• BS in Engineering, technical trade certification, or equivalent experience
• 3+ years in a manufacturing environment
• 3+ years of project management
• 2+ years of technical drawing review experience
• Ability to read technical drawings (2+ years)
• AutoCAD proficient
• Microsoft Office proficient
• Bid spec development and contractor negotiation
• Some management experience (if in the trades)
Preferred Qualifications
• OSHA 10/30
• Toyota project management experience
• Automotive paint process experience
• Ability to understand and calculate utility cost
