Description:
The primary responsibility of this role is to support the Powertrain Testing - Lab Operations function at the Client site.
Reporting to the Manager of Operations – Central Lab Ops, the person in this role will support the Powertrain Testing department's objective to ensure testing readiness.

Emissions & Regulatory Testing
CFR emission testing requirements
U.S. emissions certification procedures
FTP, HWFE, US06
Emission analyzers
Particulate Matter (PM) measurement
Fuel economy testing/data
Data Acquisition & Test Tools
Panel 4
ETAS
Hioki
Data acquisition systems
Test-data analysis
Modeling/simulation platforms
Troubleshooting / Problem Solving
Diagnose engine, vehicle, and test-equipment issues
Troubleshoot dynamometers, analyzers, sensors and test-cell equipment
Root-cause analysis
Develop corrective actions/countermeasures
Resolve daily lab operational issues
Lab / Facility Operations
Test-cell readiness
R&D laboratory operations
Equipment maintenance/support
Environmental chambers
Support new Battery Lab operations
Coordinate with Engineering, IT/Security, Purchasing and facility teams
Engineering Background
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical / Electrical / Automotive / Mechatronics / related Engineering
Ability to read electrical and mechanical prints
Preferred / Bonus
Professional Engineer (PE) license
Battery testing/development experience
EV/hybrid propulsion experience
Advanced emissions testing
Experience with automotive R&D labs
Experience supporting OEM testing environments

Qualifications
