A premier global law firm is seeking a Cyber, Data Privacy & Cybersecurity Associate Attorney to join its Seattle office.

This opportunity is ideal for an attorney interested in advising emerging companies, public companies, technology companies, financial institutions, life sciences companies, and media companies on sophisticated privacy, cybersecurity, and data protection matters.

Ideal Background

4–7 years of cyber, data privacy, or cybersecurity experience gained at a sophisticated law firm or in-house legal department

• Experience advising clients regarding CCPA, CPRA, GDPR, and other U.S. and international privacy laws

• Experience counseling clients on privacy compliance, information security, data governance, and cybersecurity risk management

• Experience supporting the privacy and cybersecurity aspects of corporate transactions, technology transactions, mergers & acquisitions, and commercial agreements

• Experience drafting and negotiating data processing agreements, privacy provisions, information security terms, and commercial technology agreements

• Experience advising clients regarding data breach response, incident preparedness, incident response planning, regulatory investigations, and cybersecurity events

• Experience conducting privacy due diligence for corporate transactions

• Strong drafting, analytical, project management, and client counseling skills

• Ability to independently manage sophisticated matters while maintaining significant client interaction

• Outstanding academic credentials

J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school required

Washington bar admission required or ability to become admitted
