A premier global law firm is seeking a Cyber, Data Privacy & Regulatory Litigation Associate Attorney to join its Chicago office.
This opportunity is ideal for an attorney interested in representing leading technology companies and other sophisticated clients in cutting-edge privacy litigation, cybersecurity matters, and regulatory investigations.
• 4–6 years of privacy, cybersecurity, consumer protection, or complex litigation experience gained at a sophisticated law firm
• Experience representing clients in privacy and data security litigation and regulatory enforcement investigations
• Experience handling investigations involving the FTC, State Attorneys General, and other federal or state regulatory agencies
• Experience defending data privacy and cybersecurity class actions, including matters involving data breaches, wiretapping claims, consumer protection statutes, and unfair or deceptive trade practices
• Experience advising clients regarding privacy laws, cybersecurity incidents, regulatory compliance, and risk management
• General technology fluency and an interest in emerging privacy and cybersecurity issues
• Ability to independently manage sophisticated matters while maintaining significant client interaction
• Exceptional legal research, writing, analytical, and communication skills
• Excellent academic credentials from a nationally recognized law school
• J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school required
• Illinois bar admission required or ability to become admitted
