Title Cyber Range Outreach Assistant Position Description

BSU's Cyber Range is a state-of-the-art cybersecurity training facility designed to simulate real-world cyber threats and attacks with unparalleled realism.

The Cyber Range Outreach Student Assistant will assist in the administration of school visits taking place in the Cyber Range. During this experience, the Student Assistant will help educators in teaching hands-on computer-based modules to visiting middle and high school students.

Duties may include:

• assist with setup of computer monitors
• cleanup of any materials used during Cyber Range school visits
• assist with instruction, demonstration, and hands-on computer activities during middle and high school visits to the Cyber Range

Cyber Range Outreach Assistants must be available on Fridays.

• Additional days of the week may also be scheduled
• Hours vary according to the schedule of the school visiting.

Please note: Your scheduled hours may be altered due to reduced work load. We can not guarantee hours each week.

Eligibility requirements:

Must be a Bridgewater State University undergraduate student registered for a minimum of six credits for the Fall 2026 semester.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with middle and high school students or interest in working with this audience
• Computer literacy
• Basic knowledge of coding
• Attention to detail
• Reliability
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team

Physical Demands

Must be able to lift twenty pounds.

Hourly Rate $16.25 - $17.25
