Cyber Security Administrator
Location: Remote, Denver, CO
Duration: 10 months
Seeking for a Cyber Security Administrator to provide specialized network and cyber security administration support to ensure maintain secure, compliant, and modern network infrastructures. This role focuses on the mitigation of operational challenges, hardware lifecycles, and the execution of critical security requests.
Scope of Services:
Administrative Daily Responsibilities: Review and execution of Firewall Service Requests (FSRs), break-fix tickets, and formal change requests.
Infrastructure Modernization: Facilitating the decommissioning and "refresh" of End-of-Life (EOL) hardware on a recurring basis.
Compliance Maintenance: Implementing security controls and configurations to ensure agencies remain in alignment with IRS, FBI, and CJI compliance standards.
Hardware Administration: Technical configuration and management of Cisco ASA and Palo Alto firewalls.
On-Call Rotation: Participation in a weekly on-call rotation to address after-hours incidents.
After-Hours Maintenance: Availability for scheduled maintenance windows or emergency response situations outside of standard business hours.
Technical Qualifications:
Palo Alto Firewalls: Next-generation firewall features such as Zones, security policies, S2S VPN, Natting, and basic threat prevention.
Cisco ASA Firewalls: Configuration, troubleshooting, and rule management.
General Networking: Foundational knowledge of routing protocols, subnetting, OSI model, etc.
