Our client is located in Northwest Houston and is looking to add an EXPERT Sr Cybersecurity Consultant to their team on a PART-TIME basis (~15-25 hours/week). This will be a contract for about 6 months with high possible of extension. The role is primarily remote but will require to be in office as requested to attend meetings. The role requires being an EXPERT with Palo Alto technologies.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

• 7+ years hands-on experience with Palo Alto technologies platform and configuration experience.
• 15+ years of overall IT / Cyber experience
• Proven experience managing critical network operations in a 24/7 high-availability environment.
• Ability to design and configure Palo Alto Next-Generation Firewalls (NGFW), Global Protect and Panorama for centralized security management.
• Experience designing and implementing security policies, including NAT, Security Profiles, URL filtering, Threat Prevention, and SSL decryption.
• Skilled in deep packet analysis and log review using Wireshark and PAN-OS to perform root cause analysis and resolve complex network issues.
• Must be a Green card holder or US Citizen
• Global experience
• This is a 24/7, 365 role, need to work flexible hours, sometimes weekend work
• Well-versed with Panorama (firewall management mechanism) and Strata Cloud Manager.
• Expertise in features like threat prevention configuration, URL filtering, SSL encryption/decryption.
