Cyber Security Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to candidates based in United States.

Pay: $30–$100/hr

Job Type: Contractor (~15 hrs a week)

the company is selecting Cyber Security Engineers to contribute technical expertise to a dynamic customer project. In this role, you'll apply your expertise to help train next-generation AI systems. Your work will shape how models learn, reason, and perform through high-quality, real-world input. No prior experience in AI is required — your domain knowledge is what matters.

What we're looking for:

1. Analyze, debug, and resolve software bugs and vulnerabilities across diverse codebases.
2. Implement new features and enhance existing functionality in projects using Python3, Java, Rust, Go, C++, or TypeScript.
3. Refactor legacy code to improve maintainability, security, and performance.
4. Perform codebase audits, penetration testing, and other security assessments to identify and mitigate risks.
5. Contribute to backend development and optimize application performance for scalability and security.
6. Document findings, suggest improvements, and provide real-world insights to improve AI training datasets.

Preferred Qualifications:

1. Expertise in one or more languages: Python3, Java, Rust, Go, C++, or TypeScript.
2. Proven experience in debugging, bug fixing, and backend development for complex systems.
3. Strong background in cybersecurity practices, including pentesting, security audit, and vulnerability assessment.
4. Proficiency in algorithms, codebase refactoring, and optimizing software for performance and security.
5. Ability to communicate complex technical findings clearly and concisely.
6. Familiarity with secure software development lifecycles and modern threat landscapes.
7. Experience contributing to AI-related or data-driven projects is a plus, but not required.

Compensation Structure

Compensation is output-based; experts are paid per task that meets the project specifications. The time required to complete work may vary depending on the expert’s experience and workflow. Minimum submission requirements apply. Experts must submit a minimum of tasks per week.

Start Timeline & Availability

We typically fill roles within 48 hours and are looking for experts ready to jump in right away. If selected, we expect you to start your first tasks within 24–48 hours of completing onboarding.
