As a Cyber Security Intern, you'll work with cross functional teams to support security analysis, risk assessments, documentation, research, and solution development. You'll gain exposure to modern cybersecurity practices and AI enabled workflows while building strong foundations in communication, problem solving, professionalism, and responsible use of emerging technologies.

How You'll Make an Impact

  • Develop an understanding of CGI's industry focus, clients, organizational structure, and business objectives.
  • Build trusted relationships by asking thoughtful questions, actively listening, and clearly communicating ideas.
  • Collaborate with clients and cross‑functional teams to support the identification, assessment, and documentation of cybersecurity risks.
  • Assist in analyzing systems, applications, or processes to identify vulnerabilities, gaps, and opportunities for security improvement.
  • Contribute to documentation such as risk summaries, security requirements, assessment findings, control recommendations, meeting notes, and project deliverables.
  • Research emerging threats, attack methods, vulnerabilities, and trends to support security awareness and solution development.
  • Use modern and AI‑enabled workplace tools to organize information, draft documentation, summarize findings, identify patterns, and support cybersecurity analysis tasks.
  • Apply responsible AI practices with appropriate human oversight to ensure attention to privacy, accuracy, quality, and transparency when using AI‑enabled tools.
  • Participate in meetings, workshops, security reviews, testing activities, and project discussions to support secure solution development and delivery.

What You'll Bring

  • Current enrollment as a third‑year student in a bachelor's degree program in Cybersecurity, Information Security, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
  • U.S. Citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a DHS EOD/Public Trust clearance.
  • Curiosity, professionalism, and a strong desire to learn about cybersecurity, risk management, and secure solution development.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills, with comfort navigating ambiguity and complex information.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills with the ability to simplify and explain complex ideas.
  • Collaborative mindset and ability to work effectively with cross functional teams.
  • Exposure to cybersecurity or technical concepts through coursework, labs, research, competitions, student organizations, or personal learning (preferred but not required).
  • Interest in learning and responsibly using modern and AI‑enabled tools to support cybersecurity analysis, documentation, and solution development.

The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set level, experience and training, and licensure and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit-based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $20 - $26 per hour.
