Our Mission, Vision, and Values guide the way we do business. Leidos' Defense Systems is seeking a Cyber Security Senior Inspector to support a new program in San Antonio Texas.
Primary Responsibilities Include:
- Work with the management team to support the customer's needs for cyber policy review and development, identifying hot button issues and trends in cyber threats, and guiding informed recommendations for cyber training and exercises based on expertise and experience.
- Provide cyber subject matter expertise in inspections of US Army installations for Cyber and IT compliance.
- Review cyber threats, plans, policies, and procedures to guide appropriate security improvements IAW Army policy.
- Communicate and coordinate regularly with IMCOM, Program Management, to ensure planning timelines and resources are maintained.
- Participate in initial meetings with HHA Lead Inspector and stakeholders to establish familiarity with the support team, with the stakeholder leads, and to confirm inspection schedules.
- Participate in and support as needed planning meetings
- Provide SME input to internal activities to improve facilitation and planning skills across staff.
Required Experience, Skills, and Education:
- BS degree and 8 - 12 years of prior relevant experience; additional experience and certifications in lieu of a degree.
- Experience in cybersecurity and IT infrastructure work.
- Demonstrated relevant operational and technical experience in designing and implementing cyber policies, guidelines, standard operating procedures, and training programs to achieve national goals.
- Experience in cybersecurity and compliance with Army programs and regulations.
- Strong understanding and familiarity with national cyber policies, guidelines, and doctrine.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills and creativity in supporting development of exercise materials such as realistic and challenging scenarios.
- Demonstrated ability to lead meetings, inspection facilitation, and give customer-facing presentations.
- Demonstrated ability to manage time, meet deadlines and milestones, and work closely across a team.
- Ability and willingness to obtain a DoD Secret Clearance. (Ability to achieve TS/SCI clearance level ). U.S. Citizenship is required)
- Networking: TCP/IP Fundamentals, Network Traffic Analysis, Wireshark, Cisco Packet Tracer
- Security & Analysis: Security Monitoring, Threat Detection Concepts, SIEM Concepts, Risk Mitigation, NIST Framework Concepts
- Experience working with DoW / Government customers.
- Strong computing system knowledge, particularly networking, including a knowledge of communication protocols and familiarity with common computing security elements such as IDS/IPS systems and firewalls.
