Overview
<\/span>
<\/span>We are seeking an experienced <\/span>Cyber Security Specialist<\/span><\/b> to support enterprise cybersecurity initiatives across Windows and Linux environments. This role will focus on application allowlisting, endpoint security, automation, and security monitoring to reduce organizational risk and strengthen system protection.<\/span>
<\/span>Key Responsibilities<\/span>
  • Design and maintain application allowlisting policies for Windows and Linux systems.<\/span><\/li><\/ul>
    • Implement and manage AppLocker, Microsoft Defender Application Control (WDAC), and Red Hat fapolicyd.<\/span><\/li><\/ul>
      • Develop trusted application rules using publisher, hash, and path -based controls.<\/span><\/li><\/ul>
        • Integrate security logs with SIEM platforms such as Splunk for monitoring and alerting.<\/span><\/li><\/ul>
          • Automate deployments and policy management using Intune, Group Policy, and Ansible.<\/span><\/li><\/ul>
            • Partner with cybersecurity, infrastructure, and application teams to onboard systems into allowlisting programs.<\/span><\/li><\/ul>
              • Create documentation, deployment guides, compliance artifacts, and security reports.<\/span><\/li><\/ul>
                • Support governance reviews, testing, implementation, and change management processes.<\/span><\/li><\/ul>Required Qualifications<\/span>
                  • 4+ years of cybersecurity, endpoint security, or related experience.<\/span><\/li><\/ul>
                    • Microsoft AppLocker<\/span><\/li><\/ul>
                      • Microsoft Defender Application Control (WDAC)<\/span><\/li><\/ul>
                        • Red Hat fapolicyd<\/span><\/li><\/ul>
                          • Splunk or similar SIEM platforms<\/span><\/li><\/ul>
                            • Microsoft Intune and Microsoft Defender for Endpoint (MDE)<\/span><\/li><\/ul>
                              • Experience managing Windows and Linux security controls.<\/span><\/li><\/ul>
                                • Ability to work independently and drive technical initiatives with minimal supervision.<\/span><\/li><\/ul>
                                  • Strong communication, collaboration, and problem -solving skills.<\/span><\/li><\/ul>Preferred Qualifications<\/span>
                                    • Cybersecurity certifications such as CISSP, Security+, GIAC, or equivalent.<\/span><\/li><\/ul>
                                      • Experience in utility, energy, or other regulated industries.<\/span><\/li><\/ul>
                                        • Experience working with remote, cross -functional teams.<\/span><\/li><\/ul>
                                          • Familiarity with security governance, architecture reviews, and change management processes.<\/span><\/li><\/ul><\/div>
                                            Hourly Rate: 65 -$70 an hour on w2<\/span><\/div>
